The Beginner Star Buy provides 36 players with a 4-hole Oc each plus colourful 'Zero-to-Hero' and '1-2-3 Ocarina' books.

The combined 51 songs in Music Zero-to-Hero and 1-2-3 Ocarina help pupils progress quickly from first notes to confident performing. These two books support and enhance each other and are designed to be used simultaneously, rather than consecutively.

Start with the one-note and two-note simplest songs in each of these books to establish how to make a good sound, when to play (and when to rest) and the importance of listening, counting, breathing and keeping together with the delightful backings (and each other!).

‘Music Zero-to-Hero' gets children making music straight away with clear visuals and finger-charts. The book builds easily, piece-by-piece, from one-note tunes to satisfyingly musical 3- and 4-note pieces. Your class band will "graduate" near the end by performing 'When the Saints' in two-part harmony.

'1-2-3 Ocarina' has equally well-graded, easy-to-play pieces. Ocarina charts appear sparingly so that pupils learn to read stave notation, a note-at-a-time. Lyrics reinforce the notes in 'Buzz Aldrin' (B and A), 'Ay-Up' (A to D), InDEEDy (D and E), 'G-Whiz' (guess!) and many more...

These songs are a "must" for boys as well as girls, with lyrics featuring space, the wild west, vampire bats and zulu warriors. Each book has material to enjoy again and again. So ring the changes between the two titles before moving on to our more advanced 'Composer' and 'Explorer' Star Buys.

Zero-to-Hero Teacher and 1-2-3 Ocarina Teacher (plus CDs) are included FREE to equip you with everything you need and support the use of the colourful pupil books. The CDs are orchestrated with humorous sound effects to keep classes eagerly anticipating their next lesson. A really enjoyable way to start any musical day!
