The Langley ceramic Alto Ocarina sounds at the same pitch as the plastic Oc. It is the same size as the Oc and fits snugly in the palm of your hand.

The Alto has a rich, singing tone which will fill any concert hall and delight the listener. Ideal for solo and group playing, the ceramic Alto blends well with any other instrument and will add a richness to your group's sound. Its mellow tone and attractive appearance also make it the musician's and collector's choice. If you would like a ceramic ocarina – this is the one.

As with all our handmade ceramic ocarinas, the Alto is beautifully glazed in aquamarine and supplied complete with cord in a presentation box for safe-keeping.

Please note: this is a unique hand-made instrument and therefore the aquamarine glaze will vary slightly from instrument to instrument.

Alto D Ocarina, 6-hole ceramic
Handmade for Ocarina Workshop in the UK by John Langley, the Alto measures 80mm (3.25 inches) and is tuned to A440 concert pitch. It plays in any key, and has a range of just over one octave from D to E'.
A 'How to Play' fingering chart accompanies each instrument.

Langley Ceramic Ocarinas are played in school award-winning performances (see Video Gallery). The English 4-hole fingering system on top, and the thumb-holes underneath are identical to those on the plastic 4-hole and 6-hole Oc®, making the transition from plastic to ceramic easy.
