Training / Festivals

Whether you are a general class teacher or music professional, it's important to make the most of your teaching skills. Directors of Ocarina Workshop, David and Christa Liggins, are expert in all aspects of ocarina music education and offer training for primary teachers, peripatetic staff and music service leaders.

Ocarina Workshop trainings and keynote presentations are always practical, relaxed, entertaining and informative. Participants learn how to play the ocarina for themselves. David and Christa then train participants in whole class instrumental teaching and ocarina performance. Trainings are usually available for teachers across a region or education authority, rather than for staff of just a single school.

We can also lead festivals for hundreds of first-time or experienced ocarina players to learn and play together. This is an ideal way to mobilise really large numbers of young musicians, to open a regional ocarina-playing project or to bring such a project to completion through a combined, celebratory performance event.
