Teachers endorse Ocarinas
The Schools Music Association enjoyed playing ocarinas together and discussing the National Plan for Music Education. David and Christa shared how they discovered ocarinas nearly 30 years ago and how they have developed the English Ocarina for Whole Class Music.
The conference complimented David and Christa on their commitment to school music, and on their successes in helping Class-teachers teach Music to their own classes.
Various teachers and educational experts also shared their own ocarina-teaching success stories, noting how generalist class teachers can teach music lessons well and with excellent results, using Ocarina Workshop resources, even if they have little or no musical experience.
One music co-ordinator told us: "Ocarina-playing is going really well in our school. I sent three class teachers to your training and they came back full of enthusiasm – they are now all teaching ocarinas to their own classes, thanks to your Wider Opportunities CD-Rom software."
